The location of Hollywood & Vine is at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Hollywood Studios is one of Disney World’s four parks.
Jenna Clark
Hollywood & Vine is a table-service restaurant located within a few yards of the Hollywood Studios entrance.
It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is the only character eating experience in the theme park. Breakfast is $42 for adults and $27 for children (3 to 9 years of age), while lunch and supper cost $59 for adults and $38 for children.
Breakfast is known as “Disney Junior Play n’ Dine” and features Disney Junior characters, whilst lunch and dinner are known as “Minnie’s Seasonal Dining” and feature Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy.
I chose lunch because I prefer vintage Disney characters and wanted to see them dressed for Halloween.
I was thankful to obtain a reservation, as it can be challenging.
Hollywood & Vine is quite popular during the fall and winter months at Disney World.
Jenna Clark
It was difficult to obtain a reservation for this character-dining experience. I checked the My Disney Experience app every day for approximately two weeks until a time slot became available.
If this is a must-do, I suggest making a reservation 60 days in advance, which is the earliest Disney permits.
Even while Hollywood & Vine offers walk-in service on the same day, you may have to wait a long time for a table, if one is even available.
Due to our tardiness, we had to wait around 20 minutes before we were seated.
Outside is a spacious waiting area with ample chairs.
Jenna Clark
The host was able to accommodate my sister and me even though we were 15 minutes late for our reservation. We also wanted a table with additional space.
Even though we were both late and had a particular request, we only had to wait 20 minutes, which I thought was a reasonable amount of time.
This restaurant has a spacious waiting room with multiple benches, which is convenient for patrons whose feet may be sore from walking throughout the park.
Halloween costumes were worn by the characters.
I loved seeing the characters dressed up for Halloween.
Jenna Clark
The seasonal attire used by the characters at Hollywood & Vine’s character dining experience distinguishes it from others.
Due to the fact that I dined here in October, the actors were dressed in Halloween costumes.
Minnie Mouse’s spider-witch outfit was my favorite, but Mickey Mouse’s spider-vampire outfit came a close second.
The character encounters were superior to those at other eateries I’ve visited.
Each and every character was so animated.
Jenna Clark
Because this is not always the case, whenever I attend a character-dining meal, I always expect for quality encounters that are not rushed.
But my experience at Hollywood & Vine was incredible.
We had excellent character encounters lasting between two and three minutes, which is a considerable amount of time considering how many tables the characters must traverse.
Every subject was amenable to several photographs. They were also willing to strike uncommon postures, such as sitting across from one another or cuddling, which made me quite happy and appreciative.
Approximately every half-hour, the characters also engaged in a Halloween dance. They moved across the restaurant and danced among the tables, which was entertaining to observe.
Each diner received a souvenir autograph card signed by all the characters.
The card was similar to a small memento.
Jenna Clark
Although the characters were unable to sign autograph books, everyone of us received a card bearing their signatures.
This was fantastic since it made it easy for individuals who, like myself, may have misplaced their signature book or just do not have one.
It is also an excellent souvenir.
The buffet offered a variety of selections.
Several hot foods were provided for lunch.
Jenna Clark
I was pleasantly delighted by the variety and quality of the buffet.
I enjoyed how fresh the meal tasted and how well-thought-out the dishes appeared to be given the price I was paying.
My favorite was the farro risotto with grilled mushrooms.
The tofu and risotto were tasty.
Jenna Clark
My favorite buffet dishes were roasted mushroom farro risotto, grilled fish with beurre blanc, and fried tofu with an Asian-inspired sauce.
There were alternatives for various dietary preferences.
There was an entire range of foods suitable for children.
Jenna Clark
I thought the buffet was inclusive because it offered a variety of plant-based dishes and kid-friendly cuisine, such as tots and chicken nuggets.
Although the lunch alternatives were abundant, the dessert options were limited.
Mississippi mud pie was quite tasty.
Jenna Clark
I usually leave room for dessert whenever I attend a character dining experience at Disney, or any meal for that matter.
I was mildly dissatisfied with the dessert selection at this buffet, but I loved the Mississippi mud pie.
With the exception of ice cream, I did not believe the dessert options were as kid-friendly as they could have been.
I never felt rushed during my entire experience.
The characters were all encountered twice.
Jenna Clark
At Disney restaurants, especially those with characters, I sometimes feel rushed, but not at Hollywood & Vine.
Considering the expense of the experience, the fact that my party was able to visit each character twice was a huge bonus.
He ensured we saw all of the personalities and took as many pictures as we desired (which was a lot).
I admired that he took the initiative to ensure our satisfaction.
Next time you visit Hollywood Studios, you should give Hollywood & Vine a try.
I am eager to return to Hollywood & Vine.
Jenna Clark
With my 10% annual passholder discount, the total for two people was $105 and 44 cents. After including the tip, the total was $127.44.
Typically, I would eat at a Disney World quick-service restaurant because they are more reasonable.
Hollywood & Vine is a terrific option whether you’re searching for a sit-down lunch or simply want to encounter iconic Disney characters in an air-conditioned environment without standing in line.
