Su Pollard and Ruth Madoc featured in the drama, which tracked the highs and lows of staff members at a summer camp.

The Sun says that fans of the erstwhile Sunday night mainstay, which is now accessible to watch on Britbox, will receive a warning statement about “language and attitudes of the past that may offend.”

This will be a new low for fans who are tired of seeing warnings about offensive language in programs that couldn’t be more polite, according to a TV insider.

‘LANGUAGE MAY OFFEND’: SITCOMS HIT WITH WARNINGS

A host of sitcoms have been slapped with trigger warnings on platform Britbox, including:

  • One Foot in the Grave
  • Fawlty Towers
  • ‘Allo ‘Allo
  • The Good Life
  • Keeping Up Appearances

On a Sunday night, “Hi-de-Hi!” used to make millions of regular Britons laugh. It is a particularly rude comedy.

They won’t be able to recall any offensive words or attitudes, and definitely none that would have an impact on anybody save the most ardent snowflakes.

Other well-known programs with trigger warnings include “Allo ‘All,” “One Foot in the Grave,” and “Fawlty Towers.”

Another caution on “offensive racial imagery” was shown on a 1970s sitcom called The Good Life.

Su Pollard portrayed Peggy Ollerenshaw in the comedy. She was a goofy maid who wanted to join the Yellowcoats and did all she could to participate in the camp’s entertainment.

While the actress, now 71, gained notoriety for her extravagant sense of dressing in real life, she was most recognized for her character’s frizzy Eighties perm and huge glasses.

In another episode of the program, Ruth Madoc, a RADA-trained actress, won a BAFTA for her performance as Gladys Pugh, the Chief Yellowcoat famous for her catchphrase “morning campers!”

Gladys considers her unrequited love for Jeffrey Fairbrother, played by Simon Cadell, as a “wonderful comic team.”

At the age of 78, Barry Howard, who portrayed renowned ballroom dancer Barry Stuart-Hargreaves, passed away from cancer.
