Heather Gay, a star of the reality show “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” has criticized Bravo for the way her black eye incident was portrayed in Season 3. Gay claimed that there was additional footage of the incident that the showrunners chose not to air, calling the edit “messy” and “weird.”
She also stated that she did not remember how she sustained the injury during the cast trip to San Diego and that she had told production that she had no memory of the incident. Gay’s comments at a book event about the situation were captured on a TikTok video.
During the reunion show, which aired in January, Gay admitted that she could not remember how she got the injury and that she was scared her castmates would use the situation to “rewrite the narrative.”
She later played coy and hinted that fellow cast member Jen Shah may have been involved in the incident. Even though Gay has since come clean, show executive producer Andy Cohen still believes that Shah might have had something to do with Gay’s injuries.
Despite Page Six’s request for comment, Bravo has yet to respond to Gay’s criticism. The network received backlash from fans for the way it portrayed the incident in Season 3.
