Harry and Meghan would have been ‘incredibly cheeky’ if they asked photographer to capture the Monarch and great-granddaughter Lilibet

In the midst of her four-day Platinum Jubilee and continued health concerns, Harry exhibited ‘great cheek’ when he requested his grandmother to appear for an official photo with Lilibet, a royal expert told MailOnline today.

The Sussexes reportedly wanted their own photographer to film the Monarch seeing her great-granddaughter Lilibet for the first time at Windsor, but were told ‘no way’ because it was a private moment, according to a source.

The photographer has not been identified, but it could be their buddy Misan Harriman, who has photographed the Sussexes on a regular basis and even claims credit for bringing them together in 2016. On Saturday, he also shot a photo of their young daughter on the lawn of Frogmore Cottage as she celebrated her first birthday.

Prince Harry’s biographer, Angela Levin, told MailOnline: ‘It is an extraordinary cheek.’ It’s impossible to put into words how much pressure his grandmother is under when she’s trying to move amid four days of celebrations where she’s being asked to do a lot. When you’re 96 years old, it’s considerably more difficult. Despite the fact that the Jubilee is her final effort as monarch, Harry requests for time with her when she can’t say no’.

According to Page Six, Harry and Meghan spent no private time with Prince William, Kate, George, Charlotte, and Louis during the Jubilee, and William’s family is unlikely to have met Lilibet. After the Sussexes’ transatlantic ‘truth bombs’ against the Royal Family on Oprah and friendly podcasts in the US, an insider stated the brothers’ relationship is still ‘fraught.’

According to Harry and Meghan’s pal Omid Scobie, Lilibet met Her Majesty ‘on more than one occasion,’ and Prince Charles and Camilla also spent time with the pair before they left to California on Sunday.

‘They should have stayed for a few days later, spent time with the Queen when her duties were completed, and attempted to make amends with William,’ Ms Levin added. They had the opportunity to take their time, but instead chose to rush in and out.’ ‘All his impatience and self-destruction is obvious,’ she added, adding that Harry appeared to have ‘lost all respect for everyone anymore.’ He won’t be able to conceal it.’
