Based on performance and the quantity of professional players it turns out, Grey College has been named the world’s best rugby school.
Long regarded as one of the top five rugby schools in the world and the best in the nation, Grey College.
However, the renowned institution has now won praise on a global scale, with Grey being named the finest in the world by the Rugby Pod podcast hosts.
The three came to the conclusion that Grey is without peer when it comes to a rugby program using results-based statistics from throughout the years as well as success rate in terms of professional players from each institution on the list as the major barometers.
“Grey College boasts by a significant margin the world’s best rugby program, bar none. Their 91% victory percentage throughout the course of history, dating back to 1855, is perhaps the highest of any varsity sport, according to the podcast presenter.
“A staggering 110 Grey College boys have earned U18 national honors, which is remarkable given that Paarl Gym, with only 37 players, is the second-highest output. It demonstrates how dominating Grey is.
Paul Roos, who are the only other South African team on the list, are in fifth position. Christchurch Boys from New Zealand, Black Rock College from Ireland, and St. Joseph’s Australia from Australia round out the top five.
