Following the election of Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji as governor-elect, the State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, sanctioned the establishment of a Transition Committee and an Advisory Council in accordance with the Ekiti State Transition Law, 2019.
The Transition Committee’s duties would include, among others, assessing the state of the current administration, reviewing the projects and programs of MDAs, and formulating plans for a seamless changeover from the current to the new administration.
Unresolved problems would be handled by the Advisory Council.
Members chosen by the Governor-elect and the state government make up the Transition Committee and Advisory Council.
