The husband of Massachusetts mother Lindsay Clancy, who is accused of killing his three small children, received nearly $900,000 in donations on Monday, after he begged with the public to forgive his wife.

More than 13,000 contributions have been sent to the GoFundMe campaign created on Friday to help Patrick Clancy “navigate the unimaginable tragedy” that happened at their Duxbury residence.

Glaser wrote on the campaign, which had raised over $880,000 as of Monday morning, “This GoFundMe is intended to help Pat pay for medical bills, funeral costs, and legal assistance.”

“Pat will be unable to work for the foreseeable future as he endures this painful, life-altering tragedy,” says the author.

Lindsay, the 32-year-old wife of Patrick, was accused on Wednesday with murdering their 5-year-old daughter Cora, 3-year-old son Dawson, and 8-month-old baby Callan, who died at the hospital on Friday.

In a Saturday post to the online campaign, Patrick revealed that he has forgiven Lindsay, a Massachusetts General Hospital labor and delivery nurse he characterized as “loving and caring towards everyone.”

Patrick wrote, “I want to ask you all to find it within yourselves to forgive Lindsay as I have.”

“The real Lindsay was loving and compassionate toward everyone, including me, our children, her family, her friends, and her patients. Her own essence is infused with love. All I pray for her at this time is that she finds peace.”

Even though his wife’s condition “rapidly worsened,” Patrick stated that their marriage “grew diametrically stronger.”

Lindsey wrote online that she was dealing with her mental health after giving birth, however the specifics of her ailment have not been disclosed. According to reports, officials are exploring the likelihood that she suffered from postpartum psychosis.

In the update, the bereaved father also revealed anecdotes about his daughters, whom he had discovered “unconscious and exhibiting obvious signs of trauma” in their home on Tuesday after he had left to pick up takeout.

The initial fundraising goal of $500,000 was met within one day, forcing an increase to $700,000 and eventually $1 million.

Lindsay, who is anticipated to face enhanced charges in the wake of Callan’s death, allegedly strangled the three children while their father was absent. According to the police, she then attempted suicide by jumping from a window.

“Many people have said they can’t imagine, and they’re absolutely correct; nothing can prepare you,” the father added. “The pain and shock are severe and unrelenting. I am continually reminded of them, and when I do sleep, I repeatedly dream about them.

“Every parent knows that it is hard to comprehend how deeply they will love their children until they have them. The same applies to comprehending the pain of their loss.”
