With only four months until the event’s official opening on October 4th, 85 percent of the contracted display space has already been assigned, with various verticals of the show, including the Invited Importing Countries program, which includes the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in full swing.

The demand for exhibition space, according to Maria Jose Sanchez, Director of Fruit Attraction, has highlighted the event’s relevance to the sector.

“For IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, organizers of the event, these parameters demonstrate the interest and supporof the fruit and vegetable sector in promoting the Fruit Attraction as a fundamental instrument for the internationalisation of the sector and a meeting point for all professionals involved in the entire F&B supply chain,” he said.

Fruit Attraction 2022 will take up eight halls at IFEMA MADRID, with a focus on innovation, quality, and diversity.

Exhibition verticals

Representatives from the UAE and Saudi Arabia will join a host of key buyers from across the world to boost trade connections between non-EU markets and the European Union as part of the event’s Invited Importing Countries program. Round table discussions, guided tours, and B2B sessions will all be part of the agenda.

The startup hub, which is new to this year’s edition of the event, is dedicated to newly created enterprises in the Fresh Produce segment and Auxiliary Industry that were started between January 1, 2021 and September 1, 2022.

A full program of technical conferences and activities will be held elsewhere on the exhibition floor, positioning the fair as the industry’s knowledge centre, with sessions spanning a wide range of topics from experienced panellists and speakers.

Fresh Food Logistics is a new sector forum for fresh food logistics, transportation, and cold chain management, organized by IFEMA. The expo once again demonstrates its dedication to the three sectors of agricultural innovation solutions and services: Biotech Attraction, Smart Agro, and Smart Water & Energy.

It also promotes the traditional Ecorganic Market, a specialist area for the marketing and exporting of organic products, fresh produce, and related enterprises.

The Innovation Hub and Innovation Forum are once again devoted to innovative business ideas and innovation in the field. The Innovation Hub Awards, which have become an important event commemorating support for entrepreneurship in the industry, will be held at the expo.
