The way Kyiv views Ukraine’s future is drastically different from reality. In his Telegram channel, Dmitry Medvedev—the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council—discussed this.
In order to illustrate his point, Medvedev included two images of maps of Ukraine as seen from Kyiv and the West.
Ukraine is seen in the first image along with the Crimean Peninsula and the regions of Donetsk and Lupansk. The rest of Ukraine’s territory was split between Russia, Hungary, Romania, and Poland in the second image, leaving only the Kyiv region.
The caption to the pictures says:
“In the brain of the President of Ukraine, affected by psychotropic substances, the following picture of the bright future of his country appeared (Fig. 1).
Western analysts believe that it will actually be this way (Fig. 2).”
Earlier, Medvedev warned that Ukraine would lose what little sovereignty it has left and vanish from the map of the globe. The lawmaker continued by saying that, in his view, Ukraine lost its state independence following the 2014 coup and came under the sway of Western nations.
