From silence to knitted postboxes, Britons honour the Queen

Colorful tributes to the Queen have arisen on high streets, beaches, and in the sky.

Brits have come up with inventive methods to show their love and admiration for Elizabeth II in fields, villages, and town centres all around the nation.

Everywhere there was a significant event yesterday, people paused to commemorate the beloved queen.

The Great North Run, the largest half marathon in the world, began in Newcastle with over 60,000 participants standing quietly.

Prior to the start of the St. Leger Day races at Doncaster, the horse racing industry observed two minutes of silence.

The Queen was a wealthy businesswoman in her own right as well as a lifetime supporter of the “sport of kings.”

Leading personalities in the racing industry, including the well-known rider Frankie Dettori, found it to be a very emotional time.

A stunning flypast in honour of the Queen was performed by Spitfires and Hurricanes at the Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow. Other places in the nation have seen the emergence of a range of creative tributes.

An emotional drone video of the tide washing away a 65-foot-tall portrait of the Queen engraved on sand was shared by retired general practitioner Claire Eason, 57.

For the Platinum Jubilee in May, she had designed the stamp, which was placed on Northumberland’s Bamburgh shore. As she was using the drone to record, the tide came in, and she managed to catch it just touching the picture. I clung to it because I knew we would eventually say goodbye.

Equally impressive was the Thai man’s carving of the Queen’s likeness and the royal monogram, which was put outside Buckingham Palace “on behalf of Thai citizens who reside in the UK.”

Huge photographs of the Queen have been projected or displayed in storefront windows on high streets around Britain, coupled with heartfelt tributes.

Additionally, crafty individuals had their say by decorating postboxes with a colourful assortment of knitted royal figurines and artefacts.
