Former TikTok employee Simona goes viral after vlogging her final day as she steals “company assets.”

“Come with me to steal TikTok company assets because I was laid off,” the Tiktoker says in the video. “At first, I wasn’t let in, but then my ID worked.”

The video, which was posted on Saturday, has nearly one million views.

Simona is seen strutting through a colourful corridor before dancing in front of the bathroom mirror in the video.

“‘Irreplaceable’ was blasting in the restroom. “So true, never think you’re irreplaceable in the corporate world,” Simona slammed.

Simona is seen traveling through a hallway with dark red lighting in the following clip.

“Had to flex this view one last time because you know how much I love the Empire State,” Simona remarked as she transitioned to a glimpse of the New York skyline. “‘And this entertaining auditorium area. Gosh, the lights here are so much fun, especially this green hallway, which is clearly my favorite, and then this is where they put the corporate assets, which is extremely sensitive information that you should not disclose with anyone.”

The “assets” turned out to be single-serving size snacks, sweets, chips, instant noodles, mac and cheese, and chocolate bars.

“But yeah, I worked here, so I was taking what was rightfully mine,” the ex-employee added. “I ended up giving the majority of it away to someone on the subway, but whatever.”

According to the employee, she was required to return both her ID card and laptop, but she did keep the lanyard that held the identification.

“I had to send those back to IT.” “Oh, I’m keeping the TikTok lanyard, you guys,” Simona snarled. “I earned it after working here for two and a half years. It’s the very least they could do for me.”

Simona reveals in a follow-up video that she was informed a month previously that her contract with the social media site had been ended and that she attempted to use the “padding period” to find a permanent position within TikTok.

Some Tiktok users shared their reactions to the layoffs.

“It’s very meta to watch you get fired from tiktok while on tiktok,” one user remarked.

“Perhaps they should downsize the office rather than the workforce,” said another person.

“They spend so much money on an office and then have to lay people off,” a third explained.

“Every damn time I see those types of offices, I just expect layoffs,” remarked a fourth.
