These accusations were brought to light during a meeting between Dokubo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Military Involvement in Oil Bunkering:

Dokubo firmly stated that ordinary citizens lack the necessary resources and technological capabilities for oil bunkering, specifically the complex process of directly connecting pipes to oil wells to extract crude oil.

He went on to assert that the military, especially the Army and Navy, are at the core of oil theft, and that nearly 99 percent of such theft can be traced back to them.

Pledge of Support and Collaboration:

Expressing his commitment to the Federal Government, Dokubo pledged to work towards eradicating oil theft entirely, expressing his belief that the Tinubu-led administration would identify and hold accountable the individuals within the military involved in these illicit activities.

Despite denying the existence of a personal security force, Dokubo revealed that he had played a significant role in managing crises in the Niger and Kaduna regions.

Commendation and Call for Support:

Dokubo commended President Tinubu’s resolute approach to national issues and called for the support of well-meaning Nigerians in bolstering these efforts.

By bringing attention to the alleged involvement of the military high command in oil bunkering, Dokubo aims to draw public awareness to this pressing issue and hopes that the government, under Tinubu’s leadership, will take decisive action to address and eliminate this illegal practice.
