Former Kaizer Chiefs flop rejected by a club

A club that offered a former Kaizer Chiefs flop a chance at age 20 has turned him down as his search for a new home continues.

Siphelele Ntshangase, a former star midfielder who recently parted ways with Marumo Gallants, has been formally ruled out by Black Leopards as a potential signing.

After Ntshangase’s troubles with playing time, the two parties agreed to split ways after the gifted midfielder spent a season with Gallants.

Since moving from the Leopards to the Chiefs in January 2018, the 29-year-career old’s has taken a severe downturn; the Chiefs terminated him in March 2021.

Leopards don’t need Ntshangase again because they already have superior players in his position, claims coach Joel Masutha.

And this despite the fact that Masutha acknowledged that he is aware of what Ntshangase can provide because he was present in 2013 when Leopards first signed him.

Masutha told Daily Sun:

“I know Ntshangase very well as we signed him at Leopards in 2013 when he was 20 but now we have good players in the same position he plays and we don’t need him again.

“I don’t know what is happening with him. What I know is that he was struggling for game time at Chiefs and now Gallants have released him.

“He is a good player and we hope he gets a team but we (at Leopards) don’t have space for him.”
