During a competitive soccer match between two private high schools, one Jewish and the other Catholic, in Miami last week, a nasty altercation broke out, and several of the players said they had been subjected to anti-Semitic taunts.

Players can be seen fighting shortly after the game on Wednesday night between the Scheck Hillel Community School and Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Florida.

The footage also shows audience members entering the fight from the stands, where multiple punches are thrown and shoves are given.

In the midst of the altercation, someone allegedly screamed, “Hitler was right,” while other opponents allegedly said other anti-Semitic epithets, according to the parents of the Jewish school’s athletes.

The altercation apparently resulted in one injury, but more information was not provided.

After the internet distribution of the fight’s footage and the claims of anti-Semitism, the two religious institutions together released a statement.

In a joint statement, the Archdiocese of Miami and Scheck Hillel said that they “have zero tolerance for any form of abusive language and conduct, antisemitism or hatred of any kind.” “We are grateful to the teachers at both institutions who handled the crisis quickly and with consideration for the pupils.”

The schools said that they are looking into the allegations and that they would punish anybody found guilty of misbehavior with “due measures.”

Dade County’s Archbishop Coleman opened its doors in 1998 and now has 330 pupils enrolled.

At Ojus, Scheck Hillel was founded in 1973 and now enrolls roughly 1,250 students.
