It is believed that the animal was off-leash in Luton Park, Ellesmere Port, when it attacked the victims as they sought to restrain it.

A spokeswoman for the force said, “At 2.40 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, officers were sent to Luton Park in Ellesmere Port in response to allegations of a dangerous dog.”

“When officers arrived, they saw a Rottweiler that was off leash and out of control.

Five individuals were bitten as they sought to restrain the dog during the event.

They all got minor injuries and were treated at the Countess of Chester Hospital for their wounds.

Officers subsequently confiscated the dog, which is presently being held in a secure kennel.

They are prohibited or otherwise restricted in a number of European Union nations, including Israel, Bermuda, and Ecuador.

Other nations impose stringent limitations on the ownership of the breed. In Italy, dogs must wear muzzles and be on leashes when walking in public, while in Portugal, they are prohibited from public housing.

After the incident, five persons were brought to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.

And in Spain, prospective owners must be of legal age and sound mental and physical condition. Additionally, they must not have a criminal history and be able to afford liability insurance.

The owner of a Rottweiler that attacked a seven-year-old child and left her permanently disfigured was released from court last month, while the dog was ordered to be killed.

In April of last year, James Palmer, 31, was carrying the pit bull on a leash and harness in Dent Close, Worcester when it attacked the small girl, leaving her with horrible face injuries.

He was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for one year, and the dog was ordered to be killed.

In addition, he was ordered to pay the girl £1,500 in compensation, a £128 victim surcharge, £185 in legal fees, and £2,500 for the dog’s kennel stay.
