Federal Lawmaker Obidigwe Restates Commitment To Empowering Constituents

The member representing Anambra East and West in the Federal House of Representatives,  Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe says he looks forward to producing 250 millionaires in the next 4 years.
Honourable Obidigwe was speaking while playing host to 43 members of his constituency that arrived Abuja from Egypt where they had trained in agriculture in his office at the National Assembly Complex.
He said the essence of the agric tour was for reorientation so that the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, who are known for farming can change the primitive way and embrace technology.
According to him, the annual entrepreneurial tour of countries like Dubai, Turkey, Vietnam among others is aimed at changing the lives of participants through training and provision of 1 million naira take off fund.
The lawmaker opined that the only way out of Nigeria’s problem is by giving to the less privileged and charged the beneficiarieswho are mostly women and men leaders in the constituency to be the needed agent of change through giving to those who are less fortunate.
Addressing the returnees, the Anambra State liaison Officer in Abuja,  Agatha Manafa,  charged them to step down the training to their subordinates for a wider and faster reach.
She challenged them to think outside the box and develop innovative ways to revolutionize Governor Willie Obiano’s ugbo azu uno to become global mechanised farming and to create networks that would help advance food innovation while sharing best practices in farming sustainability.
The liasion officer, expressed joy that the lawmaker deemed it fit to send women abroad for training saying it will go a long way in changing their plight as mothers.
For the member representing Ihiala Federal Constituency, Honourable Ifeanyi Muoma, the lawmaker must love his constituents immensely to have utilised his personal funds to send them for the training since what was expended was way above the cost for Constituency projects.
Other speakers and some beneficiaries including a stakeholder, Chief Bob Manuel Okonma,  the APGA chairman, Anambra West local government Area, Chief Godwin Onyeaka, the APGA women leader for Anambra West Mrs. Maureen Nwakasi, among others,  were full of praises for the law maker for touching their lives positively and promised to utilise the knowledge for the good.  of their families and Constituency
