Father Josafat Boyko recounts how a Ukrainian soldier was saved from being killed

A year after the start of the war between Russia and Ukraine, Father Josafat Boyko, a Catholic priest and member of the Institute of the Incarnate Word, recounted how a Ukrainian soldier was saved from being killed by praying the rosary.
As a spiritual director to soldiers fighting in the war, Father Boyko emphasized the importance of the Church’s voice in telling the truth about the conflict and the humanitarian crisis it has caused. He highlighted that the crisis in Ukraine dates back to 2014 when Russia began to attack Ukraine by attacking some territories of the province of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea.
Despite the crisis, churches have become refugees for people who have had to leave their homes, and the Church has been working to help the poor and needy by obtaining food from various countries of the world.
Additionally, they have been broadcasting prayers for peace on the Josaft Boyko channel on YouTube, and people without access to a church can access prayers through the internet. Father Boyko stressed the importance of promoting peace and not rancour and said that they continue to preach the Gospel and pray for the conversion of Russia, as Our Lady of Fatima asked in 1917.
Since the beginning of the war, they have dedicated themselves at the parish to distributing food and clothing to the poor and soldiers.
