Fans of Love Island were outraged when Jessie said she was “so happy” to hear about Tanya’s secret nighttime kiss with Shaq despite being paired up with Martin.
Following last week’s explosive Casa Amor results, Aussie babe Jessie was devastated when day-one beau Will kissed Casa girl Layla.
Will eventually reconciled with her after enlisting the help of his fellow islanders to express his feelings for her.
Fans of the hit ITV2 show, however, were quick to criticize Jessie during the most recent episode, branding her a hypocrite for supporting Tanya’s secret kiss with Shaq.
Tanya recently sparked outrage when she returned home from Casa with Martin Akinola on her arm, despite telling Shaq she loved him just a few days before.
In recent days, the 23-year-old biomedical student has been torn because she has told both men that she still wants to get to know them individually.
However, as the islanders settled down for bed on Monday (February 20), many noticed Tanya get up and leave the bedroom.
Tanya went downstairs with the lights turned off and cuddled and kissed Shaq, who was sleeping on the daybed.
She then skipped back up the stairs and into Martin’s bed.
Tanya didn’t bring up her late-night exploits until she was alone with Jessie the next day.
“How do you feel?” Jessie inquired as the two sat on the beanbags to debrief.
“I’m feeling good,” Tanya replied. I’ll let you in on a little secret.
“Last night, while everyone else was sleeping, chit-chatting, and talking, I got out of bed.
“I got out of bed and went downstairs to Shaq, where I gave him the tightest hug I’d ever given.”
“I gave him a kiss, like a really nice long kiss, and then I just left him,” Tanya continued.
“”That’s my and your little secret,” she joked.
Jessie exclaimed in surprise, a huge smile on her face, as if she was overjoyed to hear the news.
“OK, I pinky swear I’ll keep it! But I’m overjoyed!” exclaimed she.
Fans of the ITV2 dating show, however, quickly took to Twitter to express their displeasure with Jessie, recalling how upset she was when Will kissed another girl.
“Jessie is’so happy,’ Tanya kissed Shaq behind Martin’s back?” What a liar… Where was Will’s joy when he kissed someone else?” One fan became enraged.
“Jessie praising Tanya for kissing Shaq behind Martin’s back even though she cried for 7 days and 7 nights when Will kissed someone behind her back,” someone else wrote.”
“You were giggling with Tanya but crying because of what Will did, Jessie?” a third viewer wondered.
“Jessie just cried for 40 days and 40 nights because Will kissed another woman,” another fan began.
“But look how happy she is that Tanya has kissed two men in 24 hours under the same roof,” the same user continued.
“But, Jessie, you didn’t have all of this to say about Shaq and Tanya when it was Casa. “Everyone is so fake,” someone else exclaimed.
“Double standards much on #loveIsland?” agreed a sixth. Jessie is devastated when Will admits to kissing someone else, but she cheers Tanya on for doing the same.”
