Ex-Husband of LA lawyer who swindled firm out of $10.2million says she needs help

The ex-husband of a LA lawyer accused of stealing $10.2 million from a firm to stay in luxury suites in Las Vegas said she ‘broke his heart’ after stealing from him.

Sara Jacqueline King, 39, is accused of blowing through money at the Wynn in Las Vegas and using it to fund her own ‘extravagant lifestyle.’

LDR International is suing her for the full amount, but she claims she only has $11.98 to her name after spending $300 per night at the hotel.

Her second husband, Kamran Pahlavi, the grandson of Iran’s Princess Ashraf, described King as having a “lavish lifestyle” and being the “best-dressed woman” he had ever met.

The pair met in 2018 and married in 2022 after King divorced her first husband – and the duo became inseparable.

He introduced her to his friend’s firm, LDR International, with King billing herself as a rising legal star with aspirations of running for Congress as a Republican.

‘We were very much in love; she was a beautiful, smart, classy, charismatic, and fun lady, and I was literally head over heels in love with her,’ he explained to The Daily Beast.

‘She already lived a lavish lifestyle and was probably the best-dressed woman I’d ever met. Her sister and brother-in-law were both lawyers.

‘Her parents were extremely successful in the insurance industry and extremely well-educated. She would send me pictures of her jackpots and cash winnings on a regular basis.

‘None of the high-limit room employees, not even her host, with whom I thought I was close, ever told me she was losing money. They said she had ups and downs, but overall she was winning.’

King’s winning streaks would lead to her spending thousands of dollars at Dior, Chanel, and Rolex, as well as boasting about purchasing a luxury boat.

A lawsuit filed in the Central District of California accused King of breach of contract, fraud, and civil theft, and included photos of her with NFL stars such as Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Patrick Mahomes.

Former friends of the lawyer have also come forward to claim that she duped them out of thousands of dollars by claiming to have high-profile connections.

According to LDR, a British Virgin Island firm, they extended a series of loans to King Family lending from January to October 2022 as part of a business investment.

She was given $10.2 million in 97 loans after promising to use the funds for loads to third-party borrowers.

They were allegedly secured by collateral such as luxury cars, yachts, designer handbags, jewelry, watches, and earnings from professional sports contracts, according to King.

The suit includes photos of the lawyer with several NFL players, which it claims were used to raise her profile.

It claimed she ‘engaged in massive fraud’ and that ‘no third-party loans from King Lending to and third-party borrowers existed.’

Pahlavi has’substantiated’ the allegations and ‘fled to Morocco,’ with the King accused of gambling around the clock while staying at the hotel.

According to court records, he filed for divorce from King in late December, citing irreconcilable differences, with the couple separating after only nine months together.

When he realized her loan company was a sham, he relocated to Morocco, where he had previously established a business.

‘It ended horribly,’ Pahlavi explained. She lied to me. I was duped. I was robbed. I was embarrassed. I was humiliated. That’s not a bad reason to split up.

‘When I realized what she had done, I ran away and never looked back. To be honest, it pains me to do this, but she is sick and needs to be stopped before she scams the wrong person and gets herself into serious trouble.

He claims that after the breakup, King sent him hostile messages such as ‘Just wait and see, your time is coming.’

King’s first husband sued her in April, alleging that she foraged his signature and certain documents in order to secure a $250,000 loan on their Newport Beach home.

A default notice was then issued against the $3 million property “as a result of the fraudulent loan remaining unpaid.”

King is also accused of sending ‘racist’ text messages to her former partner about his new partner saying: ‘If the whore is in my house Shw [sic] better hide. She’s next on my list.’

She is also being sued by George Poulos, who filed a complaint against King and her company in Orange County – claiming he invested $125,000 and was never repaid and received ‘strange and threatening messages’.

A financial company that leases luxury cars sued King and her law firm in September, alleging that the attorney owed them $300,000 for her lease of a Rolls-Royce Dawn 2019.

The vehicle was impounded by the California Highway Patrol in 2021, when King was only 19 months into a 48-month lease.

King also installed an odometer tampering device, which is illegal under both state and federal law and reduces the vehicle’s value.

According to a Wynn spokesperson, ‘King is no longer permitted on-property at Wynn Las Vegas.’

According to the lawsuit, King presented them with “fraudulent, falsified, and altered King Lending bank statements” and “she altered the bank statements to show deposits/payments by third-party borrowers that were in fact never made.”

It also claims she sent photos to LDR and their agent Laurent R to gain their ‘trust and confidence.’

She sent them a photo of herself with NFL players at a Capital One golf tournament in 2022 at the Wynn Golf Club.

King is now claiming that she has no money and only has $11.98 in her bank account, as evidenced by a screenshot.

The suit claims that as of February 9th King was still asking for more money so she could ‘try and make back the money she has stolen’.

She also claimed to have borrowers in the NHL, NBA, and MLB, as well as a friend who worked as a ‘hair extension person’ for the Kardashians.

According to the lawsuit, King also ‘falsely represented’ to borrowers that King Lending received $6.3 million in loan repayments and ‘redeployed’ the fund to cover more loans.
