Erling Haaland scores 17 goals in 11 games

Following his hat trick against Manchester United on Sunday, Erling Haaland, who joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund this summer, has now scored 17 goals in only 11 games.

His ability to score goals; what’s his secret? The guy himself claims that the lasagna is his father’s handmade recipe.

After City’s 6-3 win against United, Haaland said to Norwegian broadcasters Viasat, via Spox, “My father has baked lasagna for me before the previous three home games.”

He has to be adding something unique to it.

The 22-year-old Haaland, who earlier scored three against Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, became the first player in English Premier League history to record a hat trick in three straight home games in the top division with his goals against United.

He also set a league record for the quickest player to ever achieve three hat tricks after doing it in only eight games.

The last player to accomplish this feat was Michael Owen of Liverpool, who accomplished it in 48 games.

Pep Guardiola, the manager of City, praised the influence of Haaland’s parents on his ability to score goals after City’s victory on Sunday, however he left out his father’s cuisine.

Guardiola stated, “I didn’t teach him what he is doing; the talent we have next to him helps him score.

“His instincts are superb. It was given to him by his parents. He had it from birth.”
