General Edo State University Admission Requirements
(I) UTME
Candidates who participated in the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination are eligible for admission (UTME).
Minimum UTME Passing Score at EDSU: 140.
Visit the Edo State University, Uzairue website at edouniversity.edu.ng to fill out the online Application Form.
Five (5) credit passes in relevant courses, including English Language and Mathematics, at GCE O’ Level/SSCE, NECO, NABTEB, or their equivalents in no more than two sittings are needed of all candidates. For Medicine and Surgery (MB; BS), however, the five credits (including English and Mathematics) must be earned in a single sitting.
Additionally, those awaiting results may apply.
All applicants would be required to undergo screening at Edo State University, Uzairue.
Candidates who took the UTME in 2022 and desired to alter their university/program of study to Edo State University, Uzairue are needed to:

All Direct Entry applicants must purchase and submit the JAMB Direct Entry Form 2022.
Edo State University, Uzairo accepts the following for 200-Level Direct Entry Admission:
Admission into three- and four-year degree programmes requires a minimum Merit pass in NCE, Credit in OND/HND, or a Second Class (Lower Division) in BSc.
Two Advanced Level passes or the equivalent in relevant areas.
The Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB), the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), or the Cambridge School of Basic Studies with acceptable grade levels.
In addition to the NCE/ND/HND/BSc/IJMB/JUPEB or two Advanced Level papers stipulated by each Faculty or Program, candidates must additionally meet the O’ level prerequisites.
Any additional requirements accepted by the University Senate.
Transfer Candidates (III)
Candidates will be permitted to transfer from other universities to Edo State University, Uzairue if the following requirements are met:
Online purchase and completion of the Edo University Inter-University Transfer Application Form.
Pass a screening/interview conducted by Edo State University, Uzairi.
Possess the necessary qualifications for admission to Edo State University, Uzairiro.
Ensure the transcript of their academic records is sent to the Admissions Office of Edo State University, Uzairue.
Have a minimum grade point average of 1.5

Candidates are required to submit an application fee of Two Thousand Naira (#2,000).
SCREENING OF CANDIDATES: On December 8, 2022, all applicants must appear for Edo State University’s 2nd supplementary Screening Exercise.
