DURBAN WOMAN CRUSHED WHEN HER OWN VEHICLE ROLLED BACK

A Durban woman was reportedly crushed by her own car on Tuesday, according to paramedics.

The 44-year-old woman went out to latch the gate when the car rolled back and slammed her against a wall, according to Netcare 911 spokesperson Shawn Herbs.

“Reports indicate that the woman had been crushed after she exited her vehicle to close her gate, when the vehicle rolled back, pinning her into a wall.

“On arrival, START Rescue was already on scene providing first-aid to the lady after she was freed by construction workers who heard her shout for help.”

According to Herbst, the woman received treatment for moderate to critical injuries after being evaluated by an advanced life support paramedic.

He added that after the woman was stabilised, she was taken to a hospital for additional treatment.
