Tragic Building Collapse Claims Dunamis Church Pastor’s Life
In a heartbreaking incident that unfolded on Tuesday morning in Benue State, a pastor from Dunamis Church lost his life in a devastating building collapse.
The church, located in Mission Ward North Bank, Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, crumbled during the early hours of Tuesday.
Prayer Gathering Turns to Tragedy
According to reports, a source revealed that four individuals, including the pastor, were inside the church engaged in prayer before the catastrophe occurred.
While the other three individuals managed to escape the crumbling structure, the pastor was not as fortunate and succumbed to the disaster.
Widespread Damage and Uncertain Causes
The tragic collapse of the church building also resulted in damage to nearby residential structures and electrical infrastructure. As of now, the exact cause of the incident remains unclear and is under investigation, as reported by Naija News.
Police and Emergency Response
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for the Benue State Police Command, Anene Sewuese Catherine, reportedly stated that she was not aware of the incident.
Nevertheless, reports indicate that police personnel from the C Division, North Bank, have already reached the scene, and emergency responders are en route to address the aftermath of the collapsed building.
