David Mwaure Agano Party Presidential candidate requests for more security personnel during his campaigns

David Mwaure, the Agano Party’s presidential candidate, has written to Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai, requesting more security personnel for his campaign.

Mwaure and his running mate Ruth Mucheru wrote to the National Police Service, requesting that their security be strengthened “because of their strategy to fight corruption.”

The duo wondered why other candidates had not been allocated armed security, police cars, escort cars, or helicopters, and if the security supplied was paid for with taxpayer money.

According to Police Spokesperson Bruno Shioso, each of the four presidential contenders has at least ten armed police officers to secure their safety ahead of the August elections.

The team will be led by an inspector who will be required to always communicate with commanders of every location they will be visiting for security reasons.
