Daniel Jones’s first purchase under his new deal may have to be Lasik.

On Saturday, the Giants’ Divisional Round loss to the Eagles by a score of 38-7 was marred by a contact lens issue for Jones.

Jones’ contact lens slipped out early in the second quarter, causing the Giants to use a timeout so their quarterback could remain in the game. Jones had thrown an interception during the previous drive, resulting in a 14-0 deficit for the team. They would then go three-and-out after using the timeout, followed by a nine-play, 63-yard drive by the Eagles to add to their total.

Despite a season that exceeded all expectations, the quarterback was dreadful on Saturday night, completing only 15 of 27 passes for 135 yards and throwing an interception as the Giants were unable to move the ball against the Eagles’ stout defense.

After the game, when asked twice about his future with the Giants, Jones could not provide a firm response.

The second time he stated, “We’ll cross that bridge when we reach it.” “I had a great time playing here…. So we will determine where that belongs. But I have nothing but love and respect for this organization and the locker room gang.”
