Dan Malesela to leave Royal AM to return to Marumo Gallants – report

Durban – According to rumors, Royal AM co-coach Dan “Dance” Malesela would return to his former club Marumo Gallants to replace the departing Romain Folz.

Malesela’s return to the Limpopo-based team follows Folz’s reported departure after just six games as the club’s head coach.

Folz, age 31, joined Bahlabane Ba Ntwa before the start of the campaign. According to reports, the French-Moroccan coach is now on his way out of the club, citing multiple instances of interference with his coaching preparations.

Malesela was able to save the Gallants’ season from the relegation zone early enough for it to be a success during his first spell with the club during the 2016–17 season.

Malesela led the club to a 10th-place finish in the DStv premiership and a runner-up finish in the Nedbank Cup final against eventual champions Mamelodi Sundowns during the time he spent at the club.

Malesela was then suddenly published at the conclusion of a campaign that was judged a success by many. Even the coach expressed his surprise after learning of his dismissal from a neighbor.

Given his familiarity with the club’s current crop of players and his contacts with them, it appears that the club has called out to him once more to guide their ship as they languish in the relegation zone, winless after six matches.
