One of the two expensive vehicles that Cristiano Ronaldo had shipped to Majorca for his family’s summer vacation was involved in an accident.

The Manchester United striker’s £1.7 million Bugatti Veyron 900 horsepower is believed to have crashed in the east coast resort of Sa Coma.

The vehicle was allegedly driven by a footballer’s employee rather than Cristiano himself at the time.

This morning’s accident occurred about 11 a.m.

The incident is being investigated by police, who have yet to make a statement.

The driver was unharmed, but Cristiano’s pricey motor was destroyed in the process.

On June 14, Cristiano flew to Majorca with his five children and girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.

They are staying in a beautiful villa at the foot of the Tramuntana Mountains and spending their days on Cristiano’s mega boat.

It is Cristiano and Georgina’s first vacation with their daughter Esmeralda, whose twin brother died before childbirth in mid-April.

They are scheduled to stay for another three or four days at the house.

In addition to his Bugatti, Cristiano sent over a Mercedes-Benz G-Class for their sunny vacation.

They are staying in a villa with a gym, a pool surrounded by palm trees, multiple jacuzzis, a beach volleyball court, and a mini-football pitch.

It even boasts its own chapel and a rumored ‘erotic bunker’ beneath – it is the same home that Manchester United’s former teammate Sergio Ramos chose for a prior vacation with wife Pilar Rubio and their children.

Last summer, the sportsman and his family chose Majorca for their summer vacation before the striker confirmed his return to Old Trafford.

They stayed in a £10,000-a-night old oceanfront mansion on the island, which was intended to defend the coast from British attacks. After Cristiano shared images of himself relaxing with Georgina at the beginning of July last year, the location was identified as Manresa Castle – Castell de Manresa in Catalan Spanish.

The magnificent seven-bed property where he stayed was erected in 1715 to keep against the British, who controlled the island of Menorca at the time.

This is the couple’s first break since the untimely death of Esmeralda’s twin brother on April 18.

They announced they were expecting twins in October, and Argentinian-born Georgina revealed she was carrying a boy and a girl in a touching video featuring their four-year-old daughter Alana Martina and Cristiano’s three children, five-year-old twins Eva and Mateo, and Cristiano Jr, who is 11 years old.

Cristiano said in a heart-wrenching statement after the death of their child: ‘It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel.

‘Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.

‘We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support.

‘We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.

‘Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.’
