Seagulls Causing Trouble for Tourists in Cornwall

Cornwall is a popular destination for Brits on staycations this year, and it’s no surprise given the county’s beautiful beaches and turquoise waters.

However, tourists should be aware of the local wildlife, as seagulls have been causing trouble for some holidaymakers.

One visitor to Perranporth Beach ended up in the hospital after a seagull bit her lip while attempting to steal her ice cream.

Mandy S from London warned others to beware of “rogue seagulls” and pointed out that there were no signs warning about the dangerous birds.

Cornwall’s Beautiful Beaches Attract Tourists

Cornwall’s beautiful coastlines, including Lizard Point, Foy, Land’s End, Mousehole, and St Ives, attract thousands of tourists each year.

The county offers a variety of activities, such as surfing, wild swimming, sailing, sunbathing, and theatre visits.

However, visitors should be aware of the local wildlife, especially seagulls that can become quite aggressive when seeking food.

Seagulls Cause Concern for Cornwall Visitors

While Cornwall’s beaches are a beautiful attraction for tourists, some visitors have reported issues with seagulls.

Pushy birds have been known to attempt to steal food from tourists, which can result in injuries.

One tourist was bitten by a seagull and had to be treated with antibiotics at the hospital.

Other visitors have also reported problems with the aggressive birds.

Tourists are advised to be cautious when eating outside and keep a close eye on their food.
