Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been confirmed by Florida officials to be behind the transportation of migrants from New Mexico to Sacramento on private flights.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management released footage showing the migrants on the flights, seemingly enjoying themselves by listening to music and signing waivers.
This relocation of migrants to California is seen as another political move, as asylum seekers are being sent to Democratic-led ‘sanctuary cities’ in the north.
The released video, uploaded to Rumble, shows an alleged migrant expressing gratitude for reaching California while standing on the tarmac at Sacramento Executive Airport.
The Florida Division of Emergency Management stated that the relocation was consensual and that the migrants had expressed a desire to go to California.
They were accompanied by a contractor and safely handed over to a third-party NGO, Catholic Charities, which receives federal funding.
The migrants, primarily from Venezuela and Colombia, arrived in Sacramento through two flights organized by the private company Vertol Systems Company.
This is the same company that arranged flights for Venezuelan migrants from San Antonio to Martha’s Vineyard last year.
