The affluent Connecticut socialite who was sentenced to prison in November for secretly recording naked children in her opulent seaside estate has been released early.

The Daily Beast reports that Hadley Palmer, 54, was granted early release and enrolled in a transitional supervision program on Wednesday rather than finishing her one-year term.

According to the source, the program permits offenders with sentences of two years or less to serve a portion of their sentence at a halfway house or with a sponsor.

According to the publication, Palmer served only 161 days, or less than half of her whole sentence, in a state penitentiary.

The rich mother of four admitted that from 2017 to 2018 she secretly filmed three kids who were naked or in their underwear without their knowledge for her own sexual enjoyment. One of the victims was under 15 years old.

In October 2021, she was arrested and initially charged with using a minor in an obscene performance and second-degree child pornography, in addition to three counts of voyeurism and danger of injury to a child.

From 2017 through 2018, Hadley Palmer admits to secretly photographing three juveniles who were naked or in their underpants.

Palmer pled guilty to the final two offenses in January 2022 as part of a plea agreement and served a 90-day sentence prior to her sentencing hearing.

Palmer must register as a sexual offender for 10 years and serve 20 years of probation as part of her punishment.

Few facts concerning the claims against Palmer are known. A Stamford judge has maintained the confidentiality of her case, citing the need to safeguard the victims’ names.

However, open-government organizations and media stated that the action was exceedingly unusual. As is customary, the Associated Press argued that the lawsuit should be opened with victims’ names and personal information suppressed.

Critics questioned whether the sealing of the case was a result of the legal system favoring the wealthy.

Palmer is currently divorcing venture investor Bradley Palmer; she is the daughter of hedge fund founder Jerrold Fine.
