Coley Laffoon recently paid tribute to his late ex-wife, Anne Heche, who tragically passed away in August following a car crash. Heche was 53 years old at the time of her death.

Laffoon took to Instagram to share a heartwarming message in honour of their son Homer’s 21st birthday.

He thanked Heche for trusting him with their child and promised to continue being a great father to Homer.

The post was accompanied by a series of photos of Laffoon and his son.

Laffoon and Heche were married from 2001 to 2009 and had one son together, Homer. Heche also had another son, Atlas, with her former co-star James Tupper.

Heche suffered second-degree burns on 12% of her body in the car crash that took her life.

She had bizarrely ploughed her car into an LA home and was trapped for about 30 minutes before dying of “inhalation and thermal injuries” and a fracture of her sternum, according to an autopsy report.

Shortly after Heche’s death, Laffoon posted on Instagram to thank the public for their support and provide an update on Homer.

He confirmed that Homer was surrounded by family and was grieving but strong.

Homer was given control over his late mother’s estate in November after a bitter battle with Tupper. In January, Homer announced that his mom had finished a memoir, “Call Me Anne,” before her death.

The book is a follow-up to “Call Me Crazy,” published in 2001.
