The Robbery Incident: The State Police Command received information that a gang of armed robbers, notorious for terrorizing residents in Gombe metropolis, specifically in Arawa, Malam Inna, and Nayi Nawa quarters, was operating in Arawa quarters.
The robbers targeted the residence of Alhaji Gidado Muhammad Sani, where they broke in, fired shots indiscriminately, and stole valuable belongings.
During the incident, the security personnel of Alhaji Gidado Muhammad Sani, Mohammed Abdullahi, sustained injuries to his head, left hand, and back.
Police Response and Arrests: Upon receiving a distress call, the State Commissioner of Police, Oqua Etim, swiftly deployed the tactical team of Operation 999 to the scene.
The police engaged the armed robbers in a gun duel. As a result, one of the suspected robbers, known as Alias Albaru from Kumbiya Kumbiya quarters, was neutralized.
The police managed to apprehend three other individuals involved in the robbery, namely Adamu Usman alias Bali, Mustapha Abdullahi alias Jammaye, and Abdullahi Hussaini alias Danbasi.
However, six other suspects managed to escape, with indications that they sustained gunshot wounds.
Investigation and Recovery of Stolen Items: Efforts are underway to arrest the fleeing suspects, and the police have recovered some of the stolen items from the victims.
