Children of the Corn won’t be streaming on HBO and Netflix

The upcoming horror thriller Children of the Corn (2023), directed by Kurt Wimmer, is set to follow a possessed 12-year-old girl who encourages the children in her town to take control and kill all adults and anyone else who stands in their way. Based on the short story by Stephen King, it is the third remake of the original 1984 movie that spawned eight sequels.

As of now, the only way to watch Children of the Corn is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, March 3. Local showings can be found on Fandango. Otherwise, viewers will have to wait for it to become available on digital platforms like Prime Video, Vudu, YouTube, and Apple or become available to stream on Shudder.

Luckily, viewers won’t have to wait long for the movie to come to digital platforms as it’s set to join VOD and digital platforms on March 21, just 18 days after its theatrical release.

Since Children of the Corn is being distributed by Shudder, it should eventually make its way to the streaming service primarily focused on horror and thriller flicks, although they have yet to announce a streaming release date. The movie will not be on HBO Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie.

The company previously released its movies on HBO Max and in theaters on the same day, but they have since stopped and implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and streaming release. It will also not be on Netflix anytime soon, as it will likely go to Shudder following its theatrical run.
