The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, has expressed unwavering loyalty to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

During the inauguration of various projects executed by the Nigerian Army for Government Day Secondary School (GDSS) in Malumfashi, Katsina State, Lt. Gen. Yahaya pledged the military’s dedication to the President’s vision.

Ensuring a Safe and Secure Nigeria

In his speech, Lt. Gen. Yahaya emphasized that the military would maintain professionalism to support President Tinubu in achieving his goal of a safe and secure country.

He assured the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the Nigerian Army remains fully loyal and committed to ensuring the President’s vision becomes a reality.

Lt. Gen. Yahaya highlighted the importance of maintaining a secure environment for socio-economic activities to thrive.

Improving Learning Environments

The COAS declared that the projects inaugurated at Government Day Secondary School were aimed at creating a conducive learning environment for students.

These projects included the construction of two blocks of four classrooms, two staff rooms, an assembly hall, and the provision of classroom furniture. Lt. Gen. Yahaya emphasized the significance of providing students with a comfortable and suitable educational space.

Non-Kinetic Support and Community Development

Additionally, Lt. Gen. Yahaya stated that the Nigerian Army would continue to provide non-kinetic support in various sectors, including health and infrastructure, in communities where its operatives are serving.

This effort aims to strengthen the relationship between the military and these communities while contributing to the overall development of Nigeria.
