Cartoons show the Queen, Prince Philip, and Paddington Bear together

Following her passing, touching tributes depicting the Queen reunited with Prince Philip and strolling into the sunset with Paddington Bear have been making the rounds on social media.

A drawing of the Queen and Prince Philip holding hands and gazing into the distance is one picture that has especially moved web users.

They are seen sitting in the centre of a field on a plaid blanket when one of the Queen’s corgis approaches them from beside them.

Another cartoon that was extensively circulated on Twitter depicts the back of the Queen shaking hands with Paddington bear while wearing her well-known emerald green cloak and cap.

Once again following them, a corgi belonging to the Queen is encircled by a train of crumpled marmalade sandwiches and slack British flags.

The widely circulated cartoon was also altered by a number of users, who added various inscriptions to the picture.

One of them read, “I’ve done my responsibilities Paddington, please take me to my husband,” in the Queen’s voice.

Another said: “Don’t be worried Ma’am… the globe will be holding your hand,” this time from the bear’s point of view.

The cartoon tributes come after the well-known sketch the duo created earlier this year to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

At the clip, the queen and the bear sat down for a cup of tea and their favourite marmalade sandwiches in Buckingham Palace as Paddington praised the monarch for everything she had done.

To celebrate the Queen’s death last night, Paddington Bear sent a tribute of his own to Twitter.

He spoke the same words from their well-known sketch: “Thank you Ma’am, for everything.”

Similar-toned Paddington bear images were spread on Twitter, with one cartoon depicting the bear bowing in awe.

The writing on the wall said, “Farewell Ma’am.”
