Carrie Johnson’s Instagram update: “Through No10 door together for the final time.”

Today, Carrie Johnson paid a heartfelt eulogy to her family’s time spent in No 10.

The Prime Minister’s wife shared a photo of the family walking through the familiar front door “together for the last time” with son Wilf and daughter Romy.

This means that despite calls from his followers to run again in the future, Mr. Johnson does not anticipate returning to power.

She also expressed gratitude to the Downing Street personnel and the Chequers employees for their generosity, especially toward the kids.

Mr. Johnson is spending his final full day in Downing Street, and at midday, Liz Truss will be introduced as his successor. Tomorrow he will take a flight to Scotland to present his resignation to the Queen at Balmoral.

The prime minister spent the weekend at Chequers, where he has been based for the last few months of his term as prime minister.

Over the next 24 hours, he is reportedly concentrating on “finishing things up” before he travels to Balmoral to formally present his resignation to the Queen.

A final official phone contact with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was one of his last official obligations. Zelensky complimented the departing leader as a “wonderful friend” and commended him for his “personal bravery.”

Mrs. Johnson posted the following on Instagram: “Going through the No. 10 door together for the last time.” Wilf and Romy have had a very pleasant start to their life growing up here, but I expect they won’t remember it.

We would want to express our gratitude to all the kind individuals in Downing Street and Chequers who have shown us such extraordinary kindness, especially toward our children.
