BUA Cement Slashes Cement Prices to N3,500 per Bag

Nigeria’s leading cement producer, BUA Cement Plc, has announced a significant reduction in the price of cement, bringing it down to N3,500 per bag.

This welcomed decision, aimed at stimulating growth in the building materials and infrastructure sectors, is set to take effect from Monday, October 2, 2023.

BUA Cement made this important announcement through a statement posted on its Facebook page on Sunday night.

Commitment to Price Reduction

In the official statement, BUA Cement reiterated its commitment to lowering cement prices, particularly following the completion of its new production lines by the end of the year.

These new lines are expected to enhance operational efficiency and boost production capacity.

Immediate Price Reduction

Taking a proactive stance, BUA Cement management has chosen to expedite the price reduction process.

As of October 2, 2023, BUA Cement will make its product available at an ex-factory price of N3,500 per bag.

This bold move is intended to provide immediate benefits to consumers, allowing Nigerians to enjoy reduced prices even before the new production plants are fully operational.

Future Price Adjustments

Looking ahead, BUA Cement PLC plans to continue its efforts to enhance affordability and accessibility of cement.

Upon the completion of the ongoing construction of new plants, which is set to increase production volumes to 17 million metric tonnes per annum, BUA Cement intends to review its pricing further.

This review is scheduled to take place in line with the earlier commitments made, and it is expected to be implemented by the first quarter of 2024.
