British people favour corporations not needing pronouns

According to sobering data released today, businesses that pursue “woke” practices run the risk of angering British consumers.

According to a survey, 58% of respondents said employers shouldn’t be permitted to demand that workers use certain gender pronouns.

A majority also rejected firing employees over divisive, but lawful, social media opinions.

The study’s results, which were obtained by People Polling on behalf of Policy Exchange, show that there is broad hostility to businesses adopting controversial political views as well as skepticism about their motivations.

Only 10% of respondents stated that companies take a certain position because they really believe in it, while 23% claimed it was because they sought free exposure.

A fifth said they were trying to divert attention away from undesirable behavior, including not paying taxes.

52 percent of respondents oppose employers terminating workers for expressing divisive but lawful ideas on social media outside of work hours. Only 12% of respondents thought it should be a dismissal offense.

Only one in five Americans believe that businesses should be free to reject consumers based solely on their views. 50% don’t concur.

54 percent of respondents agreed that employees shouldn’t face discrimination because of political opinions they express at work. Only 18% of people disagree.

58% of respondents were opposed to employers having the right to request that employees disclose their gender pronouns.

That includes a sizable majority of both Labour and Conservative supporters.

Only 16% of respondents said employers should be allowed to require workers to declare their pronouns.

A project on “awake capitalism” is going to be launched by Policy Exchange.

According to Professor Matthew Goodwin, a significant portion of individuals are adamantly opposed to companies becoming engaged in the cultural wars.

They don’t believe that businesses should treat employees differently because they may hold or express certain beliefs, they don’t believe that businesses should avoid doing business with those who hold certain views, and they don’t want their employer to demand that they subscribe to certain political belief systems, such as gender identity theory.
