“Bring a generator,” Tweeps warn US rapper Russ prior to his South Africa tour

South Africans have given the American rapper Russ the finest practical advise for his upcoming tour: bring a generator in case of power outages.

On February 24 and 25, he will perform in Cape Town and Johannesburg, respectively, as part of his “The Journey Is Everything” international tour.

Russ, whose actual name is Russell Vitale, shared the bizarre advice he received from his South African followers in a tweet that caused Mzansi to howl.

“I’ve been told to bring a generator,” he tweeted, referring to the electricity problems in the country.

He continued, “Unfortunately, I can’t do that, but I’ll see you soon, South Africa. Maintain faith.”

Russ then posted screenshots of local fan responses he had received. One version read: “Remember to bring your own generator.”

He added a laughing face emoji to the message because he found the advise amusing.

The new difficulty is that I need to carry a generator, I’m told.

I cannot do that, but I will see you soon, South Africa .

Russ’s tour layover in South Africa will mark his second trip to the nation. He played at Rocking The Daises in 2019. It is unknown whether his prior broadcast was affected by load shedding.

Famous for his famous tracks Cherry Hill, Wife You Up, and Handsomer, the rapper is well-known.

In addition to “Shout out to the sun,” The Kiffness provides an update on solar energy.

It is not the first time that Mzansi has provided Russ with sound advise. The Atlanta-born celebrity disclosed that he had moved his performance from January to February due to South Africans’ complaints about being “broke.”

In an Instagram Story, he stated, “I received over a thousand messages from South African fans stating that January is the worst time to visit because everyone is broke.” So I rescheduled the date to February.”

On February 24th, Russ will play at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town. The next day, on 25 February, he will perform at Monte Casino in Johannesburg.
