Boris goes topless during private vacation

During his vacation in Greece, Boris Johnson flaunted his physique while lounging in the sun with his wife Carrie on a private island hopper.

After a much-delayed honeymoon in the remote Slovenian mountains, the ousted prime minister, 58, and his former Tory aide wife, 34, were photographed getting off a luxury boat on the island of Evia in the Mediterranean.

Locals said that Mr. Johnson and Carrie, who were wearing red swimsuits and t-shirts and shorts, respectively, spent around five hours reading while unwinding on the boat.

One even made light of the fact that six Greek men had to assist the PM in getting off the boat, telling The Sun: “They looked so at ease.” They were making jokes and laughing. While she lounged in the sun, he read his book. They had a great time because they left on the boat at 3:30 and got back at 8:30.

Six Greek men came to his aid when the boat docked in the late evening because he needed assistance getting off.

Today, the White House announced that Mr. Johnson had returned to the UK and would begin working at No. 10 again in full on Monday.

After returning from his vacation today, he spoke by phone with US President Joe Biden, French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to reaffirm Britain’s support for Ukraine against Vladimir Putin’s Russia.

Today’s leaders discussed cooperation on global security, including the danger posed by fighting near the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhia that is currently being held by Vladimir Putin’s forces.

In light of their worries about the site’s safety, they applauded the Russian president for agreeing to let the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) visit it.

They emphasised the significance of ensuring the safety and security of nuclear installations and welcomed recent discussions on facilitating an IAEA mission to the Zaporizhzhia facility, according to a No. 10 statement.

Additionally, efforts to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons were discussed.

The Prime Minister appreciated the chance to speak, and the leaders concurred that their teams would continue to collaborate closely in the upcoming weeks, according to the No. 10 statement.

He and Carrie had a quick dinner at a place known for its spinach and cheese pies as they bid their Greek vacation adieu.

Just hours before he left to return to Britain after his weeklong vacation, the couple dined out with friends, including former No. 10 adviser Henry Newman.

Mr. Johnson and the group dined on a menu of famous local dishes like spinach and cheese pies while seated at an outdoor table and taking in the warm summer evening.

He apparently saw us on TripAdvisor and the friends he was with also recommended my restaurant, according to Olympia Banou, owner of Honi at Karystos on the island of Evia, who spoke to MailOnline. We operate as a traditional, small family restaurant and rely on farm-fresh ingredients.

They also ate spaghetti and lamb chops. Everyone knows we make amazing pies. It was a straightforward supper that was finished with pomegranate liqueur and rose wine.

He raved about it and stated it was among his favourite meals while visiting this country. He joked that because he had been eating so well while he was here, he would have to continue swimming when he returned.

As MailOnline reported earlier this week, Mr. Johnson moved to Karystos last weekend. Since then, he has been seen dining at a number of local establishments and even leaving a nice 50 Euro tip at one.

The party split the bill, so I won’t say how much each person paid, but they did leave a tip, and the staff were very appreciative, said Mrs. Banou.

He seemed to be a really pleasant guy, and his wife was beautiful. He was also quite amiable and eager to engage in conversation with both the staff and other customers. Even better, he consented to join me in a photo.

He told me he was travelling back to Britain on Saturday because he had to be at work on Monday while the group was here for about two hours before they left. He promised to return as soon as possible after saying he had a great time.

It happened just a few days after the couple returned from a delayed honeymoon vacation to Slovenia’s Vila Planinka.

The resort, which is 30 minutes from the capital Ljubljana and is located in a valley next to the hamlet of Jezersko, promises a “soothing balance of energy” and lets visitors eat bear prosciutto.

Lord Rose, the chairman of Asda and a Tory lord, criticised the trip’s timing in light of the rising cost of living and the likelihood that energy costs would increase once again.

A “horrifying” lack of new help was criticised, and he added: “The captain of the ship is on shore leave; nobody is in command at the moment.”

In the weeks leading up to his successor, either Liz Truss or Rishi Sunak, Mr. Johnson “abdicated his duties and bailed on the nation,” according to deputy Labour leader Angela Rayner.

The Prime Minister, who will formally retire on September 5, is now considering his professional future.

Removal trucks were seen outside Downing Street earlier this week, and sources confirmed that preparations were being made for the ‘transition’ to the next prime minister.

In a contentious renovation of his official residence, Mr. Johnson is permitted to remove any furnishings he personally purchased, and he and Carrie are reportedly looking for a home in the Dulwich neighbourhood of south-east London.

He is rumoured to be in talks with eminent speaking agencies in London and Washington.

Theresa May, his predecessor, joined the Washington Speakers Bureau, while former Chancellor Philip Hammond is a member of the London Speaker Bureau.

Twice-divorced Mr. Johnson, who previously acknowledged having financial difficulties, saw his income reduced when he moved into No. 10.

He received £155,376 year as Prime Minister, but the FT reports that over the last 14 years, he has made more than £4 million from outside interests.

Mrs. May has made more than £2.1 million lecturing in the US, but Mr. Johnson is expected to make far more.
