Bollywood star Akshay Kumar broke world record for most selfies taken with 184 fans in 3 minutes

Akshay Kumar, a Bollywood star with over 64 million followers on Instagram, set a new world record for the most selfies taken in three minutes with 184 fans, according to Guinness World Records.

Kumar, who is one of the highest-paid actors in the world and has starred in over 100 films, beat the previous record held by James Smith with 168 selfies in 2018 and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with 105 selfies at the world premiere of his film “San Andreas” in 2015.

To promote his new film “Selfiee,” which premiered on February 24, the 55-year-old actor attempted the record-breaking event at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai by standing in between two lines of his fans who quickly approached him from alternating sides.

Kumar posted a video of the feat on social media, and he gave credit to his supporters for his achievement, saying, “Everything I have achieved and where I am in life is due to the unconditional love of my fans. This is my special tribute to them, acknowledging how they have stood by me throughout my career.”

Kumar, a National Film Awards winner who donated $4.5 million to India for COVID relief, is known for believing in himself and his abilities.
