Blake Lively has been seen switching to the dark side.
The “Gossip Girl” actress revealed her new darker hair in an Instagram Stories post on Thursday. This is a dramatic difference from her usual blond hair.
In a mystery selfie to the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Lily (My One and Only),” Lively, 35, debuted the deeper shade while wearing a red lip and what seemed to be black mesh underwear.
The seductive photo was taken shortly after it was revealed that Lively and “Jane the Virgin” actor Justin Baldoni would co-star in the film version of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel “It Ends With Us.”
Since Lively will be portraying the redhead Lily in the movie, it’s probable that she could have a new hairstyle before production starts.
Despite Lively’s most recent hairstyle change, several Twitter users expressed displeasure at the lack of a true redhead in the role.
Regarding the movie announcement, one individual wrote, “Y’all should’ve casted a genuine ginger.”
Because Lily is a redhead, another commenter said they don’t “like Blake Lively as Lily,” adding, “I hope at least she changes her hair.”
Lively is renowned for having hair that is perfect for the red carpet, but in December, she shared a photo of herself with terrible hair.
