House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has disclosed that on March 1, 2017, State Energy HK Limited, an affiliate of CEFC China Energy, a Chinese Communist Party-backed energy company, wired $3 million to Rob Walker, an associate of the Biden family.

The $3 million was subsequently distributed to at least three members of the Biden clan and two Biden family associates over about three months.

James Gilliar, a former British special forces officer and business partner of Hunter Biden, received $1,065,000.

The European Energy and Infrastructure Group (EEIG) in Abu Dhabi, Gilliar’s company, received his share of the funds from Walker’s account the day after the initial $3 million payment.

John “Rob” Walker, a former Clinton administration official and a Biden family associate, received $869,308.

The remaining $3 million Chinese wire transfer amount was deposited into Walker’s Robinson Walker LLC bank account.

Hunter Biden, the first son, received $610,692, which was wired to his Owasco PC and RSTP II, LLC accounts and a First Clearing LLC account that the Oversight Committee believes belongs to him.

James Biden, the president’s brother, received $360,000 in five payments ranging from $15,000 to $125,000.

Hallie Biden, Beau Biden’s widow and the mother of two of the president’s grandchildren, received $25,000 in two separate payments from Walker’s account in March 2017.

The Oversight Committee notes that an “unknown Biden” received four payments between March 6, 2017, and May 17, 2017, totaling $70,000.

Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden were paid some $4.8 million from CEFC China Energy between 2017 and 2018, according to prior reporting on Hunter’s abandoned laptop.

The Oversight Committee also revealed that Robinson Walker LLC wired $59,900 to Hunter Biden’s account and another $59,900 to Gilliar’s EEIG account on Nov. 9, 2015.

The committee is uncertain which company was responsible for initially wiring these funds, totaling $179,836.86, to Walker’s account.

James Biden’s work with HillStone International, a subsidiary of construction management firm Hill International, has also come under scrutiny.

Last month, a sworn affidavit claimed that the now-first brother leveraged his famous last name to get Hill International out of a business deal with the Saudi government.

Overall, the $3 million Chinese wire transfer to the Biden family and their associates raises questions about the Biden family’s financial ties with foreign entities and the potential conflicts of interest that these ties might present.
