Buzz Aldrin tied the knot for the fourth time on January 20, the day of his 93rd birthday.
The famed astronaut, who participated in the first-ever moon landing mission alongside Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins in 1969, took to Twitter to announce his marriage to Dr. Anca Faur, 63, in a modest, private ceremony in Los Angeles.
“On my 93rd birthday and the day I will be honored by Living Legends of Aviation, I am delighted to announce that my longtime love Dr. Anca Faur and I have tied the knot,” Aldrin wrote. “We were married in a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles and are as ecstatic as eloping adolescents.”
In addition, he commented, “Thank you for the birthday wishes and heartfelt kindness! It means a tremendous deal, and I hope to continue serving a bigger cause for many more solar revolutions!! Additionally, best wishes to each of you!”
Faur has worked for Buzz Aldrin Ventures LLC as Executive Vice President since 2019.
Aldrin was married to Joan Ann Archer from 1954 and 1974, Beverly Van Zile between 1975 and 1978, and Lois Driggs Cannon between 1988 and 2012.
James, Janice, and Andrew are his three children with Archer. He also has one grandson, three great-grandsons, and one great-granddaughter.
