Every motorhead can be catered for, from pure acceleration celebrations to old-school classic car festivals to in-your-face monster truck extravaganzas.

We give you our highlights for a super-sized summer of speed, including renowned locales like the London Stadium and Silverstone.

Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a celebration of the world’s most important vehicles and automotive culture, and it is one of the most prominent events on the British motoring calendar.

This yearly automotive event, held in West Sussex at the exquisite grounds surrounding Goodwood House, which also happens to be home to the historic Goodwood circuit, sees some of the world’s fastest vehicles take to the legendary Hillclimb.

Supercars and vintage vehicles, as well as electric vehicles and futuristic concepts, are on display elsewhere.

With the year’s theme celebrating motorsport innovation – from disc brakes to turbocharging – this is one motoring extravaganza that car geeks must attend.

Check it out on June 23 to 26, tickets are £47 from Goodwood.

Monster Jam

Are you ready for the fun? The high-octane Monster Jam experience is pure full-throttle fun, and it’s written all over it for thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies.

Visitors may sit in the London Stadium with their jaws on the floor while a variety of hand-painted, heavy-duty 1,500 horsepower mega-wheel trucks do high-flying exploits and spectacular gravity-defying tricks while doing 70mph around the venue.

These massive hunks of metal will also be racing on dirt circuits, executing backflips and wrecking automobiles, pushing both speed and ability to the maximum. There’s a lot to keep you excited and entertained.

Check it out on June 18, tickets are £33 from Monster Jam.

The Classic

If you’re looking for something to do on the August bank holiday weekend, look no further. The Silverstone Classic Festival’s dedication to antique racing cars is a fantastic way to spend it.

The Classic, a fantastic fusion of adrenaline-inducing motorsport from pre-war to the present day, will leave visitors salivating – as will its celebration of Formula One past and present, ranging from Aston Martin F1 Racing to McLaren, as well as the world’s only collection of Lewis Hamilton’s seven title-winning F1 cars.

With live music and a jam-packed entertainment schedule, you’re in for a fantastic three days.

Check it out from August 26-28 with tickets from £59 from Silverstone.
