Benjamin Mendy ‘bragged he’d had sex with 10,000 women,’ trial hears

Today, a court heard that Benjamin Mendy used a “fingerprint touchscreen” to lock a woman in a bedroom of his £3 million mansion before raping her.

In vivid testimony at Chester Crown Court, the 24-year-old woman described how she begged the Manchester City player worth £52 million to let her go before he raped her.

The court heard on the fourth day of the trial how she followed the 28-year-old French international inside the room after he stole her phone from her hands.
She stated that while inside, Mendy locked the bedroom door, which was equipped with unique locks and could only be opened with fingerprint technology.

The 20-year-old lady also told the court that Mendy boasted of having sex with 10,000 women while he raped her.

The woman described Mendy’s bedroom, stating that it was lined with wood, had an en suite toilet, and a huge bed with a Versace pillow in blue and gold.

She reported that Mendy was wearing chocolate-colored pants, a black shirt, and three diamante chains around his neck.

When asked about the impact of the attack, she stated, “The most difficult aspect is how many times I’ve said no; it’s upsetting.” I felt scared after it happened.’ In her testimony during Mendy’s trial, where he is accused of eight charges of rape, one of attempted rape, and one of assault, she stated: ‘He (Mendy) stole my cell phone, and I chased him up two flights of stairs to retrieve it.

I was stating, “That is my phone; please return it to me.” He was looking at private photographs of me that I had previously supplied him.

He viewed photographs of my derriere and remarked on how much he enjoyed it, as well as my genitalia.

Referring to Mendy’s bedroom, she stated, “It had a large wooden door with a black hotel-style handle.” It included some sort of touch screen fingerprint reader.

I followed him inside to retrieve my phone, and then the door closed behind me. I said, ‘Listen, I don’t want to have sex with you; I want to go home.’

The alleged incident occurred in October 2020 after the woman met Mendy and a group of his pals in Alderely Edge and was invited to a party at his estate.

Mendy stole her phone while she was sitting in the basement of his home near the swimming pool and sending Snapchat chats.

The woman disclosed that Mendy had urged her to disrobe in the room.

She stated, “He said he simply wanted to observe me.” He promised he would not touch her. I simply want to see your genitalia.

Again, he stated, “I only wish to gaze at you.” You cannot escape in any manner.’ The woman disclosed that she grudgingly disrobed in order to retrieve her phone and return home; she was left standing in a thong.

Mendy immediately flung her phone onto the bed, and when she bent down to retrieve it, the football player grabbed her from behind.

She stated, “He came around behind me and shoved me onto the bed until I was on my hands and knees.”

I informed him, “No. I do not want sexual relations with you. He stated that he would not touch me; he simply desired to sense me.

I was on all fours with my bottom raised. I repeatedly stated, “I don’t want to have sex with you” as he pulled my buttock toward him.

The victim said that Mendy then shifted her thong to one side and performed a vaginal assault on her.

She stated, “He shifted my thong to the side and said he wanted to insert his tip for a moment.” I was attempting to escape, but he had a grasp on me. He kept on returning. The woman’s testimony was videotaped and shown to an eight-man, four-woman jury.

She stated, “He then began inserting his penis into my derriere.” I stated that I do not wish to do it. I informed him that my sister is waiting for me, that I must leave, and that she is likely searching for me.

He had his slacks completely unzipped, his shirt off, and three diamond necklaces around his neck.

Then he instructed Mendy to place the penis in his mouth. I placed his penis in my mouth while attempting to withdraw my tongue.

He stated, “You’re too timid. I’ve had sex with ten thousand women.

The woman disclosed that she met Mendy on a Sunday evening at the Panacea restaurant in Alderley Edge.

Mendy was accompanied by three male friends, while she was accompanied by four female friends, and they began speaking and drinking with Mendy’s group.

The woman disclosed that about 10.30 p.m., as the restaurant was closing, Mendy and his group invited them back to his mansion, The Spinney.

She told the court that when she first met Mendy at the restaurant, she was unaware that he was a Premier League footballer.

After the rape, the woman stated that she dressed and Mendy departed the bedroom.

She stated, “I just wanted to remain calm, leave, and avoid causing a scene.” I quickly put on my clothes and left the house.

The lady told the court that she had confided in her sister and a coworker about what had occurred at Mendy’s estate, and that she had also sought trauma counseling at a rape crisis center.

The woman informed the officer who interviewed her at the Macclesfield Police Station that after committing three acts of rape against her, Mendy told her, “Don’t tell anyone and you may come here every night.”

Yesterday, a trial witness stated that Mendy ‘had a predatory look in his eye’ prior to displaying his penis and attempting to rape her.

The lady said that the football player “pushed” her onto a bed and attempted to hold her on his lap.

When asked how she felt while Mendy held her down, the woman responded, ‘Out of control.’ I was in an unfamiliar location. I was in a distinct territory, which belonged to him.

He was encompassed by all of his buddies. I was alone in the room. I kept saying “stop” and “no”. That was not heard, and because I felt somewhat voiceless, I did not shout. I just had millions of questions.’

Mendy is accused of seven young women on eight counts of rape, one act of attempted rape, and one count of sexual assault. Yesterday, Mr. Cray recounted certain agreed-upon facts that were not in dispute between the defense and prosecution, based on the 29-year-old complainant’s doctor’s papers.

He reported that she had a telephone consultation with her primary care physician in August 2021, during which she described feeling “down and concerned” due to the release of information she found distressing, but refused to discuss the topic further.

The next day, she had a face-to-face meeting with her doctor, during which she disclosed that she had not engaged in sexual activity since 2018, when she was the victim of a sexual assault, and that this was tied to the current news event regarding Mendy.

She obtained a doctor’s letter for time off from work and feared that her employer would discuss the situation.

Her physician urged that she talk with the police, but the woman declined.

Louis Saha Matturie, Mendy’s co-defendant and footballer’s buddy and fixer, denies eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual abuse involving eight young women.

Prior to the trial, none of the women involved can be identified, and reporting restrictions are in place. Each man denies all allegations.
