The first rental retirement retreat in India has been introduced by Colive, the largest rental exchange platform in the country. The movement, known as Vanaprastha, is motivated by the vedic-age philosophy of peacefully residing in the forest after one has passed the threshold of communal responsibility (retired).
Vanaprastha Colive (Retirement Retreat for Seniors on Rental) Colive, BCD, and Portea Medical came up with this innovative project. One of India’s oldest and largest real estate corporations, BCD Group, built the gated neighborhood where Vanaprastha is located.
Colive, an operator of fully managed premium co-living spaces with more than five years of experience, has developed an ideal environment to meet the needs of an elderly population.
This environment includes fully furnished rooms with daily housekeeping, high-speed WiFi, dedicated community spaces for fitness, yoga, and meditation, a cafeteria, a recreation center, on-demand chefs, chauffeur-driven cars, and much more.
The availability of onsite healthcare assistance, including general physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, and an ambulance provided by Portea—largest India’s out-of-hospital healthcare brand—adds a much-needed touch of medical security.
The medical staff at Portea will make sure that the Colive Vanaprastha inhabitants always have access to the essential first aid, primary care, and golden hour therapy due to their objective to “Heal at home.”
Additionally, both out-patient and in-patient admissions are available at the drop of a phone should a resident need to be hospitalized or linked with a specialist.
Bangalore has taken pleasure in being the “city of choice” for retired couples since the 1990s, thanks to its mild, relaxing climate and scenic landscape, which in turn help seniors heal more quickly from chronic illnesses naturally.
However, the ecosystem of retirement homes throughout the entire nation has only up to now been available under a “buy-only” basis, which limits the mobility of seniors.
