‘Back to the Future’ fans cry at Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd’s reunion

It was a touching moment for fans of the 1985 science fiction film “Back to the Future.”

According to “Variety,” the emotional reunion between actors Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd was captured in a video that went viral at New York Comic Con. The film captured the stars’ emotional reunion.

Fox and Lloyd were genuinely upset as they walked the stage to thunderous applause, with Fox passionately embracing Lloyd and Lloyd placing an arm around Fox.

One video of the reunion has received over 7 million views on Twitter, per Variety.

A Twitter user said, “It’s so sweet to see Michael J. Fox embrace Christopher Lloyd like this.”

“I believe it’s safe to say that Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd own the day. As expected. “This is a beautiful moment in time.”

Fox joined “Back to the Future” after production had begun, with Lloyd having already filmed scenes with Eric Stoltz, the original Marty McFly actor.

Director Robert Zemeckis realized that Stoltz was not the appropriate choice for the role, thus scenes had to be reshot and Fox was cast.

Lloyd stated at NYCC, “I didn’t know Michael other than hearing about him” (via Uproxx).

“And I felt like I had barely survived the six weeks, and now I had to do it all over again? There was, as they say, instant chemistry.”

According to “Variety,” Fox was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the 1990s, and he informed the audience at the NYFCC that Lloyd has always been there for him throughout the years.
