It hopes to have all 2,000 of its temporary employees in place by November 25, which is Black Friday.

In Australia, positions would be available at Amazon’s fulfilment sites and logistical operations.

The positions would include picking, packing, and shipping consumer purchases.

For the holiday season, employers are requesting school leavers and seniors in particular to join their teams.

Mindy Espidio-Garcia, director of operations for Amazon Australia, stated, ‘Seasonal roles are great for those who want something short-term, such as students on summer break, while flexible opportunities are ideal for those who want to earn around their existing schedule or are seeking an additional income stream.’
