As a result of an increase in conflicts at the parks, Disney is urging guests at its California and Florida resorts to be on their best behavior.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World have updated reminders to their websites’ “Know Before You Go” sections that bad behavior might result in ejection from the resort.

The Disneyland warning for California parkgoers states, “We ask all who visit this happy place to treat others with respect, generosity, and compassion. For the safety and enjoyment of our guests, we continually update our Disneyland resort guidelines.”

In addition, the park’s property regulations section requests that patrons demonstrate “common decency” to other guests and cast members (workers) by “not using profanity or indulging in harmful, illegal, disruptive, or insulting behavior, jumping lines, or saving positions in lines for others.”

Walt Disney World in Florida encourages visitors to “be the magic you wish to see in the world” and to treat others with respect, decency, and compassion at all times. Those who cannot fulfill the “simple wish” will be asked to leave the resort, the park warns.

In the past year and a half, WDW News Today reports that fights have broken out in several locations at the Florida resort, including Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom, Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios, Living With The Land in EPCOT, and on the ferryboats leading to Magic Kingdom.

In July of this year, two families engaged in a large brawl in front of Peter Pan’s Flight, just months after a woman sustained a head injury during a fireworks spectacular.

Similar altercations have occurred in the California park, most recently during the Memorial Day weekend when numerous visitors were removed.

Both Disneyland and Walt Disney World warn visitors who ignore their “simple request” that they would be asked to leave the property.

A Disneyland spokeswoman released the following statement to Fox 11 LA at the time:

“We do not condone this type of despicable conduct. The resort’s security responded quickly, defused the situation, and withdrew the guests from the park.”

In 2019, at least four families engaged at a fight in the Mickey’s Toontown portion of Disneyland. In the background of the then-viral footage of the event, children could be heard wailing and weeping.
